Clean and 'Simply Said'

I was at a craft class the other day and a lady happened to talk about rubber stamps, so of course my ears pricked up. She was talking about buying stamps and then getting them home and not knowing what to do with them other than stamp. I asked her what she did and she just used one ink pad, and more of less made every card the same. It then got me thinking.......I took out one of my favourite sets and thought, ok lets see how many different cards we can make with one set.

Here I have used cardstock: Green Galore/Apricot Appeal/Whisper White. Inks: Green Galore/Yoyo Yellow/Versamark. Extra's: White embossing powder and corner rounder.

On this one I used cardstock: Rose Red/Regal Rose/Whisper white. Inks: Rose Red/Stazon in black. Extra's: chipboard Tag made from a Cuttlebug Die/White taffeta ribbon/corner rounder/ brad and glitter.

On this last one for today I used cardstock: Tempting Turquoise/Apricot Appeal/ Whisper White. Inks: Tempting Turquoise. Extra's: Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon/Glitter/corner rounder and concave punch.
All three cards used the stamp set 'Simply Said' on page 39 of the UK catalogue. Card two also has one of the circle stamps from 'Circle of Friendship' found on page 62. They are all A6 in size, reason, I am filling a tin, so that I always have some spare cards and this size fits nicely.
There is just so much more you can do with one stamp set, but I had to down tools for the day to watch a film with my children. Hopefully I will find some time tomorrow to make some more. ENJOY!

Something to Share

At last I have some creations to share. I received a delivery last week and even though my house is all upturned due to the kitchen being re-fitted, I kept these out just so I could use. I have made quite a lot of cards today but wanted to share some very simple ones with you. The first one is going to a cyber friend for taking time to get me something that I can't get here.

I have used one of the stamps from a hostess set (level 2), Garden Silhouettes. It is stamped in Green Galore and mounted on apricot peel, then onto green galore cardstock. The ribbon slider is made from one of the cuttlebug dies out of chipboard which is covered in cardstock (apricot peel). The ribbon is from my own stock.
My second creation is going to a friend who needs a pick me up as her hubby is in hospital and things have been a little tiring visiting.

The stamps used here are from the set 'Simply Said' on page 39 of the UK catty. I have used tempting turquoise ink along the side of the card and green galore for the main image. The flowers are coloured using sakura glitter pens. Cardstock - Green Galore and Tempting Turquoise. Ribbon - Certain Celery. Punches - corner rounder, spiral.
My third and last one for the evening is for a friend in Canada whose birthday it is at the end of the week. I know I am cutting it fine as always.

Stamps - Hostess set - Garden Silhouettes (level 2), Cheer and wishes page 63. Ink - Lovely Lilac. Cardstock - Lovely Lilac and pretty in Pink. Brads from own stash. Punches - Spiral and a concave from own stash.
I hope you enjoy looking, hopefully I will be back with some more things this week, but I do need to prep for some classes and also make a start on lifting all the floor tiles in the kitchen. Not a job I am looking forward too, but if I don't do it, it won't get done ;-) I really want my kitchen to finished sooner rather than later. So I can spend more time crafting.

Little update on things.

Since I last blogged we have gutted the kitchen and decided to have new cupboards and also a new floor which we are waiting on doors and flooring. So most of my craft stuff is now in boxes and I can't find a thing without digging through them all, so frustrating. So I will be quiet for a while yet in blogland. I have managed to make some projects using my stamps from Stampin' Up! but unable to show as my camera is somewhere around, probably hiding, lol. I hope its not going to take much longer to get this room finished as I craft in there too at one end. I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms too, I can't wait for my new stuff to arrive so I can play with that, lol. I am off to build some more units now while hubby sleeps, he doesn't do DIY unless I struggle with something. Not that I mind as I enjoy it the most.

Sorry no posts for a while

Sorry for not posting in a while but we have had the dreaded tummy bug around the family. First my son got it then after I had just stripped all the wall paper off the kitchen I came down with it, so everything has been put on hold till I am back on my feet. The whole house is upturned just for one room. Its amzing how decorating can have such an effect around the whole house. Anyway I am going to rest up today and hopefully back to normal tomorrow and on to starting with the paintwork. I have made quite a few samples for Stampin' Up! but have not had time to take photo's of them yet. Will do over the next couple of weeks.
