Clean and 'Simply Said'

I was at a craft class the other day and a lady happened to talk about rubber stamps, so of course my ears pricked up. She was talking about buying stamps and then getting them home and not knowing what to do with them other than stamp. I asked her what she did and she just used one ink pad, and more of less made every card the same. It then got me thinking.......I took out one of my favourite sets and thought, ok lets see how many different cards we can make with one set.

Here I have used cardstock: Green Galore/Apricot Appeal/Whisper White. Inks: Green Galore/Yoyo Yellow/Versamark. Extra's: White embossing powder and corner rounder.

On this one I used cardstock: Rose Red/Regal Rose/Whisper white. Inks: Rose Red/Stazon in black. Extra's: chipboard Tag made from a Cuttlebug Die/White taffeta ribbon/corner rounder/ brad and glitter.

On this last one for today I used cardstock: Tempting Turquoise/Apricot Appeal/ Whisper White. Inks: Tempting Turquoise. Extra's: Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon/Glitter/corner rounder and concave punch.
All three cards used the stamp set 'Simply Said' on page 39 of the UK catalogue. Card two also has one of the circle stamps from 'Circle of Friendship' found on page 62. They are all A6 in size, reason, I am filling a tin, so that I always have some spare cards and this size fits nicely.
There is just so much more you can do with one stamp set, but I had to down tools for the day to watch a film with my children. Hopefully I will find some time tomorrow to make some more. ENJOY!

Something to Share

At last I have some creations to share. I received a delivery last week and even though my house is all upturned due to the kitchen being re-fitted, I kept these out just so I could use. I have made quite a lot of cards today but wanted to share some very simple ones with you. The first one is going to a cyber friend for taking time to get me something that I can't get here.

I have used one of the stamps from a hostess set (level 2), Garden Silhouettes. It is stamped in Green Galore and mounted on apricot peel, then onto green galore cardstock. The ribbon slider is made from one of the cuttlebug dies out of chipboard which is covered in cardstock (apricot peel). The ribbon is from my own stock.
My second creation is going to a friend who needs a pick me up as her hubby is in hospital and things have been a little tiring visiting.

The stamps used here are from the set 'Simply Said' on page 39 of the UK catty. I have used tempting turquoise ink along the side of the card and green galore for the main image. The flowers are coloured using sakura glitter pens. Cardstock - Green Galore and Tempting Turquoise. Ribbon - Certain Celery. Punches - corner rounder, spiral.
My third and last one for the evening is for a friend in Canada whose birthday it is at the end of the week. I know I am cutting it fine as always.

Stamps - Hostess set - Garden Silhouettes (level 2), Cheer and wishes page 63. Ink - Lovely Lilac. Cardstock - Lovely Lilac and pretty in Pink. Brads from own stash. Punches - Spiral and a concave from own stash.
I hope you enjoy looking, hopefully I will be back with some more things this week, but I do need to prep for some classes and also make a start on lifting all the floor tiles in the kitchen. Not a job I am looking forward too, but if I don't do it, it won't get done ;-) I really want my kitchen to finished sooner rather than later. So I can spend more time crafting.

Little update on things.

Since I last blogged we have gutted the kitchen and decided to have new cupboards and also a new floor which we are waiting on doors and flooring. So most of my craft stuff is now in boxes and I can't find a thing without digging through them all, so frustrating. So I will be quiet for a while yet in blogland. I have managed to make some projects using my stamps from Stampin' Up! but unable to show as my camera is somewhere around, probably hiding, lol. I hope its not going to take much longer to get this room finished as I craft in there too at one end. I am starting to get withdrawal symptoms too, I can't wait for my new stuff to arrive so I can play with that, lol. I am off to build some more units now while hubby sleeps, he doesn't do DIY unless I struggle with something. Not that I mind as I enjoy it the most.

Sorry no posts for a while

Sorry for not posting in a while but we have had the dreaded tummy bug around the family. First my son got it then after I had just stripped all the wall paper off the kitchen I came down with it, so everything has been put on hold till I am back on my feet. The whole house is upturned just for one room. Its amzing how decorating can have such an effect around the whole house. Anyway I am going to rest up today and hopefully back to normal tomorrow and on to starting with the paintwork. I have made quite a few samples for Stampin' Up! but have not had time to take photo's of them yet. Will do over the next couple of weeks.

Yeah Its here!!!!

Am I excited or what? The thing I have been waiting for the last couple of days is finally here and I can now reveal what it is.

My new Stampin' Up! demonstrator's kit. Yes I am now all official. I have toyed with the idea for a few months now since they came to the UK. So I just went for it last week. And here it is. Please check back regular as I know there will be offers and things going on in my area once I have got myself sorted with all the ins and outs. I must get to grips with bloggin too as I am so new to it. By the way if there are any aftershock from the earthquake that happened this morning, it will probably be me jumping with excitement :-)

Good news!!!!!

Well the kids have been off school for this last week due to half term. I haven't been able to get much crafting projects done during this time. But I have received some great news yesterday and I am really, really excited about it. I am going to leave it for a couple more days as I am awaiting a little arrival of something to do with the said secret. Now that should get you guessing or will it?

Altered Valentines present

Well it get more difficult to buy for my hubby on every occasion. But as I am just so loving in altering things I thought about this last night. He loves Whiskey, (although he is suppose to be cutting it out, one little tipple won't hurt). So I have altered a small bottle for him.

I popped in some of those gorgeous Lindt truffles, also his favourites. The celophane bag I bought off Ebay and I have stamped on it using cotton white stazon and I used a swirl stamp from the Priceless SU set.

You can just make it out in the photo. The lable is made using some of the £1.49 stamps to create a border, the love is a rub on and the potion is peeloffs. I left it all to the last minute so had to use what was in my stash. What you can't see is the scalloped boder I created using my corner punch.

This is the tag , which is stamped using my Circle of Friendship stamps from SU. The scallop I cut on my cricut from mini monograms. Then it tied around the top with ribbon, again from SU. I just hope he likes it as its something totally different. I suppose this idea can be used for many occasions.

SU cards

Gosh I can't believe the week has flown by. I have had a busy one with classes, looking for new premises and sorting out projects plus looking after a sick child (they know how to pick their moments, lol). I thought I should share a couple of the cards I have made. I am making a basket to put cards in for Mothers Day, these are just a couple of cards I have made so far.

These where both made with Stampin Up sets, Priceless and Garden Whimsy. Card used is bazzill and DCWV, embellishments brads and gems. When my batteries are charged I will show the basket that is waiting to be filled.

Nothin' new

I have been so busy making samples and some projects that I forgot to take pictures of them. I did make a basket which I placed some choccies in for craft class, but I forgot to take the pics :( first. I will just have to make another and enjoy eating the chocs as I go. I am now back at scrapbooking class so whe those pages I have planned this morning are done this week I will try and remember to take some photo's to share. I was quite pleased with what I came up with, with the little knowledge I have of the photo's. I did happen to spend some pennies on some new stash but have had to hide it for now. Its for my daughter to do at half term, but its basically an album/papers and ribbons all matching. Will try and do some more bloggin this week and show some creations.

HuggyBellas

This is HuggyBellas, I have made this for a friend. So it will be off on its travels tomorrow. The paper is by English Paper company, ribbon from stash and little stick on gems. The stamp is WnW (Will 'n' Way).
I think my mojo has gone on holiday without telling me as it took all day to make this card. I just hope when it returns it has something more creative with it :-)

Slider Card

This is my first ever Slide card, you can find instructions for this on Jenny's Blog HERE, check out her other cards and tutorial, they are fab. I have used Bazill card in Aubergine (I think) and Pink. All the circles and scalloped circle are cut on my cricut. The stamped image is one of those little cheapies for £1.49.
This is the inside and again all stamps are the little cheapies. The gems are from Provocraft. Ribbon fro RibbonOasis.

Savvyshoppabella Card

This is my first ever Bella Card, isn't she fab. This is savvyshoppabella. The papers and chipboard are from my new stash. I have also used my nestabilities, which are ok. Don't think I would buy all the sets though, they wouldn't get used much.

Football Edwin

Had a playday yesterday with some of my new stamps. These are Edwin from Magnolia, I needed to make some male cards and I think he is just so cute. The papers are from my new stash, see post below.
