Bex's Challenge - Trimming the Tree

Well this is my first challenge and I have really, really enjoyed doing it, so much so I couldn't stop. This was the challenge
'Your challenge for the next few days is to make 5 Christmas cards featuring Christmas Trees - any shape, any style, any kind of tree! These can be 5 different cards, or 5 all the same, it's up to you.'
Well here are my five, sorry but they are all Pink Petticoat papers which I so love at the moment.

Tent topper Cards

These are my attempt at the tent topper cards. I like their style, something different.

Both are made using Pink Petticoat, my favourites at the moment. Coloured using Faber Castelle pencils and Sakura stardust pens. The sentiments are those clear little rubber stamps for £1.49 and the frame is cut on the Cricut and edged with organza ribbon. i must try and get to grips with my new camera as the scanning doesn't do these cards justice.

Cuttlebug EF

I thought I would share some cards made using the cuttlebug embossing folders. I think these are just fabulous and have many ways of use.

Its been a while since I last posted but hopefully when I get time to scan some cards, I will put them on here for all to see. Hopefully today, just need to do some boring house duties.

This is what I have made today, well I have made two for a friend. I just love altering these books. They are left blank down one side for the recipient to doodle on if they so wish.

This is another new card just made today. I have just discovered these on other forums/blogs. I got the design from one of Laurie Unger's blog. I think they are fabulous. I think it still needs a little something though, not sure what yet.

Altered notebook

Today I have been busy altering a notebook for my little girl, ok she is not so little now. I thought it would be nice for her to go back to school with as she will be in her final year at junior school. I have used a book that I bought from Morrison's and then decorated it with some scrummy papers from again Pink Petticoat. From this

Christmas Cards

Well I have been busy making Christmas cards. OK I know there is months to go before the BIG day but I really do need to start early. So I have been busy using Pink Petticoats new Christmas designs, I think they are FAB.

I just love these bold prints, never been a fan before until now. But boy are they gorgeous.
I didn't have any Christmas ribbon so thought I would make my own. I printed a strip of text and then cut it out. Placed my famous DST (double sided tape) onto the back and stuck two different coloured card onto the back and trimmed leaving a border. So simple really but effective.

First time blogging

Well my sister has been on at me for ages to create a blog or my space. Well I have finally took the plunge and started one. Don't know where to start really, should get some pics on here for you to see what I make. Well off to do just that.
Back soon.
