Simply Said

Here is another card I made using Simply Said stamp set. Its really a very versatile stamp set to have in your collection.

Here I have used Apricot Appeal, Certain Celery, Pretty in Pink and whisper white Cardstock. The small flowers have been punched out using the punch from 'Three for you punch Box' This is on offer for this month at only £29. Please check out an earlier post to see the contents.

I have also used the scallop circle punch and cut it in half to give the bits at the top and bottom of the stamped image. The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is from the basic phrases, again on offer for the month of June. Again I used my nestabilities for the oval at the bottom.

Heartfelt Thanks...

Well I have finally had some time to make some cards today. I have been playing with a few Stampin Up! sets and will show them over the next couple of days. The first one is from Heartfelt thanks. I really love this stamp set and enjoy the two step stamping.

Basically you use one stamp, (in this picture the pale pink) and then you ink up another using a darker colour and also using the Stamp a ma Jig (an essential tool now for me). Posittion the stamp a ma jig over the one already stmaped then stamp with the darker colour. I will have to try and do a tutorial on here for you to see exactly what I mean.

This card is using Perfect plum and Pretty In Pink cardstock and ink pads. I have also used my nestabilities to frame the flower.

The following card is using the same stamp set but a different flower.

The colours used are chocolate chip, pretty in pink and whisper white. I just love this cardstock for stamping onto, not very good for water colouring though. The ribbon is the grosgrain in Chocolate chip. This colour combo always makes me think of ice cream, yum yum.

Sorry for no posts but....

..... I have been really, really busy. I have a fair coming up next month for Jewellery and I am also going to be doing a Make and Take session, so I am frantically making loads of samples for a big display board. Its all in aid of chairy, sorry but I cannot remember which one it is at the moment, my head is so full of things to do. I know I am donating a few packs of card and people will get to come and sit and make a card for a small fee, all of which will go to this charity event. Will post more when I get some more details of venue etc.

I am hoping to show some cards later this week, oh boy its Thursday already. Where has the week gone? Anyway I will try my best to show something soon.

Ribbon Storage

Just thought I would share some ribbon storage I made myself, yes something without the aid of a man (please don't ask). Its one of those clip together boxes with Jumbo eyelets from Stampin' Up! along one side. I drew two lines in pencil on the inside and then worked out where i wanted the eyelets, so that they where all evenly spaced.

The box was £1.99 from my local art shop.

It has the widest ribbon Stampin' Up do inside, which is the 5/8" grosgrain. Plus it has smaller widths too.

These are the last ones on this set.

I was rushing when I made this one as I had the kids to collect and its all wonky. Oh well, you get the idea.

Colours chocolate chip, cameo coral and old olive.

This has got to be my favourite. I got the technique from SCS, its called brayered background. The colours used are from the soft subtles, Lavender lace, Almost Amyethyst and bashful blue. The dot are made using the 1/4 inch circular punch.

This is my last for now. Colours are rese red and whisper white.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at these cards over the past couple of days, and I hope that it has given you lots more ideas.

I don't know how much blogging I will get done over the next week as my kids break up from school today for half term. Got to keep them occupied, so a few day trips are planned.

Used Garden Green, pumpkin pie and chocolate chip. The whisper white cardstock is actually chalked around the edges using the stampin' pastels.

This is a question I get asked many times about stamping. If you buy a stamp set for one or two stamps in the set, what do you do with the rest? I agree its a good question to ask. So I thought what better way to answer as to show you exactly what I have done with just one stamp set.

I have chosen this set

This is Lovely as a Tree by Stampin'Up! catalogue page 45 (£25.95 for 6)

Now I am not normally a tree person but these are just gorgeous and there are loads of sentiments you can put with them. The following cards you will see will be mainly made using the Earth Elements colour family, only because I thought these where appropriate at the time. But the last ones are not. I will try to upload as many as I can over the next couple of days so please keep checking back.

This is using Garden Green, Old Olive and Chocolate chip Ribbon.

This one is using Not Quite Navy and More Mustard.

Something simple

I just wanted to share what I am showing my class tonight. Its very simple and I got the idea from SCS. Its a tri-fold pocket card. This is only very plain as I want them to use their imagination on how to decorate it further. Over the last couple of weeks I have been giving them simple ways of decoration. I am so excited I can't wait to see what they do.

I have left the inside panel blank apart from the scalloped bit at the top. Colours used are Rose Red and Whisper white.

Good Luck Card

I have just been playing with my Doodle That stamp set (page 55). I decided to steer away from a birthday card and make good luck one. The sentiment stamp is from Sincere Salutations set (page 61).

The colours I have used are Close to Cocoa and Pretty in Pink. The images are coloured in with these plus certain celery. The ribbon is Chocolate Chip grosgrain.

I have stamped the flowers then just cut out the heads and monuted them using the dimensionals. I also used the tab punch to create the pull bit.

Lorrrrrrrra Lurve!

Sorry couldn't resist putting on my Cilla voice, lol.

I have another card to share today, this one is made using the Loads of love stamp set on page 37 of the UK catty.

I used close to cocoa as my base colour and then pretty in pink and certain celery for the contrasting ones. I demo'd the 'Z' style card in my class this week and they all thought it was fab.

My image is coloured using the markers in soft subtles. I do love this colour family at present.

I am hoping to get some more cards made today once housework is done.

Doodle That!

I finally got some cardmaking done yeh! I made this card today

I used basic black and pretty in pink cardstock. The images come from the stamp set Doodle that on page 55. This set is so verstatile. The flowers have been stamped and cut out and then mounted using dimensionals. The sentiment comes from circle of friendship. The ribbon is from my own stash, some I have had for a while and can't remember where I bought it from, sorrrrwwweeee. It will be going off to a friend tomorrow, just hope she doesn't have a sneeky peek on here, lol.

Update on kitchen, after having leaks and a flood at the weekend, it looks like we have got them all. One always turns into another. Anyway I manged to get some tiles today, so we need to take the rest off and then I can start hopefully next week sometime. Must cram in some serious crafting this weekend. I have promised to take the kids to the grand opening of the new play area at our park on Saturday, wonder if I can sneak my camera out with us, lol.
